Please review the Forensic Expert Independent Contractor Agreement (PDF). Key points:

  • You are an independent contractor, not an employee.
  • Attorneys retain you for opinions and testimony; MIT Experts provides the platform, introductions, billing, and administrative support.
  • Initial term is three years, then month-to-month.
  • If you have not been an expert in litigation, you start as Tier 1 at $50/hour for review, with written rate increases as you gain case experience. If you already work as an expert, MIT pays the rate you report above.
  • Electronic signatures (including this form) are valid under the agreement.
